Licenciada en filosofía por la Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Máster en Filosofía Política y doctoranda en el área de Filosofía del Derecho de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Ha presentado papers en congresos nacionales e internacionales.

Miembro del Instituto de Gobernanza Democrática de San Sebastián (Globernance – http://globernance.org/project/cristina-astier/ ). Parte del equipo de comunicación y coordinación del proyecto MML financiado por la Comisión Europea “SIforAGE 2012-2016″ sobre envejecimiento sostenible.

Trabaja en una tesis titulada: A World of Equals: Legitimate Global Institutions – The Case of Trade, dirigida por Paula Casal y Andrew Williams. Su investigación se centra en temas de ética e (in)justicia global, comercio y consumo, instituciones de gobernanza global y legitimidad, derechos humanos, desigualdades globales y justicia distributiva global. Más allá de la tesis, sus intereses se centran en temas de ética aplicada, ética poblacional, justicia intergeneracional y estudios de género.

She holds a degree in philosophy from Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and a M.A in Political Philosophy from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). She is a PhD candidate in the Philosophy of Law Department at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Lectures in both national and international conferences.

She is a member of Globernance (globernance.org/project/cristina-astier/) , the Institute for Democratic Gobernance at San Sebastián. She is working on a MML project founded by the European Commission “SIforAGE 2012-2016″ on sustainable ageing as part of the coordination and communication team.

She is working on a thesis entitled A World of Equals: Legitimate Global Institutions – The Case of Trade supervised by both Paula Casal and Andrew Williams. Her research is focused on global ethics and (in) justice, global inequalities, trade and consumption, legitimate global governance institutions, human rights, and global distributive justice. Beyond her thesis’s topic, she is interested in applied ethics, population ethics, intergenerational justice, and gender studies.
